Problem Statement
The customer faced quality issue with the printing of the production date on the packaging of cat food. Their whole container will be rejected if the printing of production date is of poor quality.
Solution
In order to address the quality control challenges, we provide them with the Cognex vision system that has OCR function to inspect the printing quality and also to read all the letters are correctly printed.
Customer’s Feedback
Cognex system overall performance stability and the accuracy rate in reading OCR satisfied the customer’s requirements.
The system can reduce the no. of claim from customer that cause by under-quality of the printing label. So the customer can reduce cost around 40,000 SGD a year.
